About Us

Having Network is quite difficult and expensive most especially for us who started building it up with knowing nothing. Through research, friends, trusted volunteers and determination, WE came up into conclusion that we can simply figure out on how this network be established.

First week of September 2007, we start to define a problem on which or what IRCD and SERVICES will be used and easy for us to handle. We also discussed on what the network be called and be known. Undeniably most of us are familiar with Services who have chanserv and nickserv that’s why we need to set-up at least one who have that type of services. After setting it up, weeks of observation, we notice that this services doest not fit with our knowledge and lots of questions are humoring with our minds. We think about its Technical Aspect even though resources and other related material is available.

End of September 2007, we try to re set-up other services that would fit the requirements to our box. During the installation, we found errors. The services we want to install do not fit the requirements with our box. At this stage, we suddenly stop. We let the old services running while we are trying to resolve this problem.

We think, discuss and consult. After two weeks, we formulate and finalized into an idea that we need to provide a new box. A box that would fit to all types of services we might install.

Fourth quarter of October 2008, more research and delving have done, we create a new box. We successfully installed it into a new BOX. Problem is solved. Server and services is UP!

Two domains were registered; filoz.org which we used during the days of exploration and immediately shifted to filoz.net the name that we want it to be.

February 2008 server is DOWN. Main hub's server shutdown its ISP. We are forced to transfer immediately the services and re-install its back-up including its database. By the end of month of February, services is running normally.

Security is not only our concern, it is everybody’s concern.

Mission	We want to help...  and we want to learn...  and through this learning, for we to conduct good services through communication. and for we to expand our great effort to a harmonious relationship for our future staff, future members and future clients by means of this communication and good social relation..
Name	FilOz - a unique term for FILIPINO'z. Asides from the word Pinoy & Noypi which is popular known for the people lived in the Philippines. The ADMIN creates a unique term (FILOZ - abbreviate for Filipino'z) who will describe all the Filipino who lived and explore the world of net. FilOz also comes from the word Fil - for Filipino people and Oz - from Australian people. The owner of the network who spend almost of her time in Australia is a Filipino. Her netmask iLoveYou (Im_urs_f  or Legendness) can be seen around IRC Net.This Network will be develop, manage and maintain by our future Filipino staff and/or other concern parties.

Type /server irc.filoz.net on your status window and after you are successfully connected, type /join #filoz and we are there waiting for you. For any assistance /join #help . Java applet was also embedded to provide you direct and web-based connection to the FilOz IRC Network http://java.filoz.net, by default your nick will first appear as "FilozJava" , however this nick can be change by typing /nick <newnick> on your window as you enter the room. How do this Network differs from other?
-	We are UNIQUE.
-	This Network is Managed and Operated by Filipino.
-	It is our best interest to build this network to have fun, learned, explore and to provide them with best services.
-	We deny that we know everything while other pretends they do know a lot of things.
-	It is not a RUN TEST Network, but instead it is a continuous process of learning.
-	Our network service focuses to its staff members and chatters; therefore we do not tolerate anyone to interfere with other network. If so, it is our responsibility to acknowledged them of whatsoever.
-	It is not a matter of jealous, but it is a part of formal, professional and healthy competitions.
